Matchmaker's profiles give you a lot more useful information about people than the other sites do. They do have some stupid questions that that only a teenager would really care about -- I mean, really, do you really care if a woman's favorite movie is Pretty Woman and her favorite actor is Brad Pitt? Still, if somene takes a few minutes to fill out the entire profile, giving it a bit of thought, you can get a pretty good first impression.

Has deteriorated

Matchmaker has deteriorated from being great to being good in the last 5 years.This is because they have taken away many of the important multiple choice questions and made searches much less powerful.

I actually know 2 people who have met their spouses on this site. It is a little pricey, but it gives you your a great shot at meeting someone that is someone more to your liking. It has questions on your likes and dislikes and it can match someone to your same specs. Also, finding someone at a bar is just as dangerous as finding someone online. I think you have to use your brain either way.

This site has really dull graphics - long from way too long - narrow search and poor customer support.
