 Lavalife Sucks!

I didn'thave the experience of speaking with fake profiles, but I spoke with women who were playing games. Maybe it works for some of you, but not for me!

Technically Stinks

On a technical level, I find Lavalife to be very disappointing. The site freezes frequently, forcing me to log on twice. This has happened on multiple computers now, convincing me that it is not a problem with my computer. |
Just For Sex

Honestly I believe the site is strictly for sex. The common line is "Good luck with your search," which clearly shows this is only for "Getting lucky." Best if you just want to get laid... Besides that don't bother. The amount of unattractive men there is staggering.

I'm not thrilled with Lavalife. In the end it sucks. I get to pay to contact women who will respond about half the time, and most of them will trade two or three emails and then vanish. Thanks for eating up some credits lady...

 the best of the bunch

I used Lavalife for about 3 years. I actualy met some really great women during that time. Last year I met my true love. We met in June '04, got married in May '05 and are expecting our first child this October. I do realize that I was very lucky, but my point is that sometimes e dating does work and I found LL the best of the bunch.

I did meet some very nice women, and enjoyed my time very much. However it has many flaws-- particularly poor customer support and treatment-- that have left me less than pleased. |

I just wanted to meet an honest, sincere, genuine person. But I am so done with Lava. I am a financially secure, intelligent, attractive, sexy, fun-loving, independant 45-year-old who has decided to pack it all in and stay single. Sorry guys, but you all missed out.

I've had a lot of good experiences on lavalife, and I have not yet come across one single person who was out for sex only. Maybe this is just good luck, but I think it has something to do with the way Lavalife separates the three sections of "relationships" "dating" and "intimate encounters".

This site seems to be a mecca for rude, attached men all over the globe! Also in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, most of the men appear to be only interested in chatting and not meeting in real life. |
It Sucks

50 credits does not divide by 6 credits that you pay each time you email someone. So you're left with the decision to abandon the 2 remaining credits or dish out some more. It's driven by the worst customer service available. One person will approve your ad, another will deny it - even if it is exactly the same.
Theyalso have fake profiles designed to make you spend credits on such profiles.

For the most part LavaLife works, and when it doesn't it is no fault of theirs, but more so the people who use the system. I've used it on and off for about a year, and I have met many interesting people. BUT, you have to know how to play the game..and yes it is a game.

problem with age matching

One problem I've found on Lava is that there is no reverse match for age. That is, I can say I'm looking for somone between 30 and 40 years old, but I can't say I'm looking for people who are themselves looking for people between 30 & 40. Problematic because some people are looking within a very narrow age range.

a waste of hard earned money

Lavalife is a scam! I was on their system for a year and NEVER met one of the "single" women on the site. I actually never even chatted with any of them more than twice and then they "suddenly" stop responding or block me.
Come on! NO dates in a year-I ain't an ugly toad! AND a lot of the women on there don't buy credits AND a lot of them don't even respond when you send them an email.
